Q: Does SAE provide any guidance on how to write a paper?
A: For guidance on how to write an SAE technical paper, please download the paper template from the “Conference Materials” section.
Q: Are there any requirements from SAE regarding paper length and references?
A: The paper should be 6–15 pages excluding references. It should include at least 10 references, all published within the past 10 years. Excessive self-citation should be avoided to ensure objectivity.
Theses and dissertations and other papers that have not undergone double-blind peer review are not recommended as references. In principle, Chinese-language references should not exceed 15% of the total. If you wish to be considered for the Best Paper Award, your paper should include at least 15 references published within the past 10 years.
Q: When can I receive the stamped acceptance letter for my paper?
A: After your paper passes review, you can download the acceptance letter from the ICM system.
Q: Are review papers accepted?
A: Review papers are not accepted for this conference. They may be submitted instead to the journal Journal of Vehicle Dynamics, Stability, NVH.
Q: May I use AI-assisted tools?
A: Generative AI must not be used to write the main body of the paper or to generate research content, data, results, or conclusions. However, authors may use AI tools for non-substantive writing support such as language editing, punctuation correction, grammar checking, and polishing the text.
If you use AI tools during the writing process, please include a specific self-declaration when submitting your paper.
Q: Once my paper is accepted by SAE, when will it be published?
A: It will be officially published about three months after the conference. The exact timing is subject to actual conditions.
Q: When will my paper be indexed in Elsevier Ei Compendex (EI)?
A: After your paper is officially published, Elsevier typically needs 4–8 weeks to complete the indexing process.
Q: If I do not present a paper or submit one, may I still attend the conference?
A: As an open academic conference, this meeting has always upheld the principle of “sharing achievements and promoting exchange.” Whether or not you have submitted any academic work, if you are interested in the field covered by the conference, we sincerely welcome scholars, industry experts, and young students to attend.
